Marble Care
Cultured marble is made by carefully blending crushed and ground natural marble with polyester resins. A gel-coat finish applied during the manufacturing process is designed to give the marble a beautiful shine, as well as a durable protective coating.
To clean and maintain the look of your cultured marble, consider the following important points:
- Use a foaming or liquid cleaner designed to work on bath fixtures. Most common household cleaners will be fine.
- Never use abrasive cleaners. This will dull the finish on cultured marble.
- For stains or tough spots a fine polishing compound / cleaner such as Gel-Gloss can be used to renew the shine.
- Nail polish removers can damage the finish of a gel-coated product.
- Water temperature should not exceed 130 degrees from the tap.
- Maintenance service from Classic Marble is available to renew the look of your cultured marble product.
